Instructions

step 1
Prepare the ingredients
Wash and dry the fresh produce. Cut off and discard any stem ends from the green beans; cut into 1/2-inch pieces. In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise and as much of the sambal oelek as you'd like, depending on how spicy you'd like the dish to be.

step 2
Cook the sausage & vegetables
In a large nonstick pan, heat the sautéed aromatics on medium-high until hot. Add the sausage; break the meat apart with a spoon. Cook, without stirring, 3 to 4 minutes, or until lightly browned. Add the green bean pieces, cabbage and carrots, soy sauce (carefully, as the liquid may splatter), and sesame oil; season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, 3 to 4 minutes, or until combined, the vegetables are softened, and the sausage is cooked through. Turn off the heat.

Warm the rice & serve your dish
Meanwhile, cut a 1-inch vent in the package of rice. Microwave on high 1 to 2 minutes, or until heated through. Transfer to a bowl. Season with salt and pepper; drizzle with olive oil if desired. Stir to combine. Serve the warmed rice topped with the cooked pork and vegetables. Garnish with the sambal mayo and half the peanuts (you will have extra). Enjoy!
