For easy, fuss-free cooking, we’re boiling tender green beans and noodles together in one pot. With the addition of seared chicken, it’s the perfect pairing for a spicy, savory sauce made with sambal oelek—and a pinch of furikake as a garnish.

Heat a medium pot of salted water to boiling on high. Wash and dry the lime. Halve crosswise. Halve the green beans crosswise.
Pat the chicken dry with paper towels; season with salt and pepper. In a large pan (nonstick, if you have one), heat a drizzle of olive oil on medium-high until hot. Add the seasoned chicken in an even layer. Cook, without stirring, 3 to 4 minutes, or until lightly browned. Add the soy-miso sauce and as much of the sambal oelek as you’d like, depending on how spicy you’d like the dish to be. Cook, stirring frequently, 2 to 3 minutes, or until slightly thickened and the chicken is cooked through. Turn off the heat.
While the chicken cooks, using your hands, separate the noodles. Add the noodles and halved green beans to the pot of boiling water. Cook, stirring occasionally, 3 to 4 minutes, or until the noodles are tender and the green beans are slightly tender. Drain thoroughly.
To the pan of cooked chicken, add the cooked noodles and green beans and 1/2 cup of water. Cook on medium-high, stirring frequently, 1 to 2 minutes, or until the noodles are coated. Turn off the heat. Stir in the juice of both lime halves. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the finished chicken and noodles garnished with the furikake. Enjoy!
