Carb Conscious
Our Carb Conscious recipes provide a balanced approach to carbohydrate consumption by replacing refined carbohydrates from sources like white flour, rice, and cane sugar with high-fiber foods like fresh vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Our Carb Conscious recipes have 42g or less of net carbohydrates (total carbohydrates minus dietary fiber) per serving, a 25% reduction in net carbs compared to the average Blue Apron recipe served in 2019. tips & techniques
step-by-step
instructions
1 Prepare the ingredients

Place an oven rack in the center of the oven, then preheat to 450°F. Halve the baguette lengthwise. Wash and dry the pear; grate on the large side of a box grater, discarding the core. Grate the cheese on the large side of a box grater. In a bowl, combine the grated pear and grated cheese; season with salt and pepper. Pit and roughly chop the dates.

2 Bake the baguette & serve your dish

Line a sheet pan with foil. Transfer the halved baguette to the foil, cut sides up. Evenly top each half with the grated pear and cheese; drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Bake 9 to 11 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the baguette is lightly browned around the edges. Remove from the oven. When cool enough to handle, transfer to a cutting board. Cut each half into equal-sized pieces. Serve the baked baguette garnished with the chopped dates and almonds. Enjoy!
