Remove the butter from the refrigerator to soften. Place an oven rack in the center of the oven, then preheat to 450°F. Wash and dry the chives; thinly slice. Halve the baguette lengthwise. In a bowl, combine the softened butter, miso paste, and parmesan; season with salt and pepper. Using a fork, mash until thoroughly combined.
Place the halved baguette on a sheet pan, cut side up. Evenly top with the miso butter. Toast in the oven 7 to 9 minutes, or until lightly browned and the edges are crispy. Transfer to a cutting board. Cut each half into 4 equal-sized pieces. Serve the finished toast garnished with the sliced chives. Enjoy!
