Tips from Home Chefs

Form the patties & start the tray
1 Form the patties & start the tray

Preheat the oven to 450°F. Place the beef into a bowl; season with salt, pepper, and the spice blend. Gently mix to combine. Form the mixture into four 1/2-inch-thick patties. Transfer to one tray; arrange in an even layer. Bake, uncovered, 10 minutes. Leaving the oven on, remove from the oven.

2 Roast the asparagus

Meanwhile, wash and dry the asparagus. Snap off and discard the tough, woody stem ends. Transfer to the remaining tray; drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat and arrange in an even layer. Roast, uncovered, 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned and tender when pierced with a fork. Remove from the oven.

Add the cheese
3 Add the cheese

Carefully flip the partially cooked patties; evenly top with the cheese. Return to the oven and bake, uncovered, 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked through.* Remove from the oven.

4 Warm the buns & serve your dish

Meanwhile, if necessary, halve the buns. Wrap the buns in foil and place directly on the oven rack; warm 5 to 7 minutes, or until heated through. Assemble the burgers using the warmed buns, mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, cooked patties, and pickles. Serve the burgers with the roasted asparagus. Enjoy!
