Carb Conscious
Our Carb Conscious recipes provide a balanced approach to carbohydrate consumption by replacing refined carbohydrates from sources like white flour, rice, and cane sugar with high-fiber foods like fresh vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Our Carb Conscious recipes have 42g or less of net carbohydrates (total carbohydrates minus dietary fiber) per serving, a 25% reduction in net carbs compared to the average Blue Apron recipe served in 2019. tips & techniques
step-by-step
instructions
1 Prepare the ingredients & make the compound butter

Place an oven rack in the center of the oven, then preheat to 450°F. Remove the spreadable butter from the refrigerator to soften. Wash and dry the parsley; finely chop the leaves and stems. Halve the baguette lengthwise. In a bowl, combine the softened butter (kneading the packet before opening), all but a pinch of the chopped parsley, and all but a pinch of the cheese. Using a fork, mash until throughly combined.

2 Toast the bread & serve your dish

Line a sheet pan with foil. Place the halved baguette on the foil, cut side up. Evenly top with the compound butter. Toast in the oven 7 to 9 minutes, or until lightly browned and the edges are crispy. Transfer to a cutting board. Cut each half into 4 equal-sized pieces. Serve the finished bread garnished with the remaining cheese and remaining chopped parsley. Enjoy!
