These simple muffins are ideal for any chocolate lovers—made with both semi-sweet chocolate chips and cocoa powder frosting for rich, chocolatey flavor.

Place an oven rack in the center of the oven, then preheat to 350°F. Melt the butter in a large bowl in the microwave (or melt in a small pot on the stove; transfer to a large bowl). Add the sugar, cream (shaking the packet before opening), sour cream, and egg. Whisk to combine.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, vanilla powder, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt. Transfer the dry ingredients to the bowl of wet ingredients. Using a spatula, stir until no dry streaks remain, then fold in half the chocolate chips.
Lightly grease 6 rounds of a cupcake tin (or line with cupcake liners). Transfer the batter to the prepared rounds, then top with the remaining chocolate chips. Bake 16 to 21 minutes, or until the muffins are set and cooked through (a toothpick inserted into the middle should come out clean). Remove from the oven. Let stand at least 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
