  • ⅔ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 oz Salted Butter
  • 4 Tbsps Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 Tbsps Sugar
  • 2 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • ¼ cup Cream
  • 1 tsp Warming Spices (Cinnamon, Ginger, Cardamom & Allspice)
Make the batter
1 Make the batter

In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and a pinch of salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream (shaking the packet before opening), egg, and 1/4 cup of water. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients; mix gently until just combined.

2 Cook the pancakes

In a large nonstick pan, heat half the butter on medium until melted. Using half the batter, form 2 separate pancakes. Cook 3 to 5 minutes, or until bubbles form. Top with half the chocolate chips. Flip and cook 1 to 3 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Transfer to a plate. Repeat with the remaining butter, batter, and chocolate chips.

Meanwhile, in a small pot, combine the warming spices and maple syrup. Cook on medium-high, stirring occasionally, 2 to 3 minutes, or until combined and heated through. Turn off the heat. Serve the cooked pancakes topped with the spiced syrup. Enjoy!
