Wellness at Blue Apron

Why we believe in a 360 approach to wellness

We’ve long believed in the power of home cooking to transform people’s lives—so when we set out to create our first-ever wellness menu, we knew it wasn’t just about the food on your plate. Home cooking has the ability to unlock a whole host of benefits for your holistic health--physical, brain, relationship, emotional, financial.

The signature recipes under Wellness 360 showcase a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains, as well as lean proteins from poultry, pork, fish, seafood, and tofu, including moderate portions of dairy. These meals are well-balanced and consider the contribution of calories, fat, saturated fat, and sodium to the daily diet.

Blue Apron Wellness recipes adapt to the diverse dietary needs of our customers. Therefore, Blue Apron Wellness may or may not also feature recipes with specific nutrient criteria that are badged as WW Recommended, Carb Conscious, or 600 Calories or Less.

WW RECOMMENDED

If you spot the WW logo next to a recipe, get excited! These recipes factor in calories, sugar, saturated fats, and protein to help guide you toward nutritious foods—while still keeping dinner satisfying and delicious. PersonalPoints™ are assigned to recipes on an “as packaged” basis. To learn more about WW (formerly Weight Watchers) visit our partner’s website at WW.com.

CARB CONSCIOUS

Our Carb Conscious recipes provide a balanced approach to carbohydrate consumption by replacing refined carbohydrates from sources like white flour, rice, and cane sugar with high-fiber foods like fresh vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Our Carb Conscious recipes have 48g or less of net carbohydrates (total carbohydrates minus dietary fiber) per serving, which is at least a 25% reduction in net carbs compared to the average Blue Apron recipe served in 2022.

600 CALORIES OR LESS

All of these delicious recipes come in at 600 calories or less per serving, ideal for those who choose to monitor their caloric intake, without sacrificing flavor. The US Food & Drug Administration uses 2000 calorie daily intake for general advice. The 600 calorie cap equates to 30% of total 2000 calories per day based on 3 meals per day with 200 calories remaining for snack or beverage.

VEGETARIAN

As always, we offer dietary preferences when you order with Blue Apron. Blue Apron vegetarian recipes do not contain meat, poultry, fish, or seafood. They are made with fruits and vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds and are created with or without dairy products*, honey, and/or eggs for you to enjoy as part of your vegetarian preference.
*Select artisanal cheeses may contain animal-derived rennet.
