If you’ve yet to discover the wines of the Pacific Northwest, this three-bottle bundle features the best of Oregon and Northern California wines. Indulge in two full-bodied reds that pair perfectly with meat (particularly pork) as well as a lighter, bright white similar to Italian sauvignon blanc that’s easy to drink and incredibly versatile when pairing with food.

The 2017 Anthesis Pinot Noir is classic Oregon pinot, which most consider on par with the best pinots from Burgundy, France. It boasts a fruit-forward flavor accented by savory notes. The 2016 Airfield Estates Cabernet Sauv balances plush fruit flavors with spice and savory notes, offering acidic tanginess, while the 2017 Anne Amie Muller Thurgau is a crisp and fruity wine that tastes as great with fresh seafood as it does with bold, spicy fare.

Collection includes 3 x 500 mL bottles (2/3 of a standard-size wine bottle) featuring the following wines:
  • 2017 Anthesis Pinot Noir: Each year winemakers in the Willamette Valley clamor to get Pinot Noir grapes from the Stermer and Briscoe vineyards. Most are out of luck—but not Richard Sowalsky, our in-house winemaker. He has the track record to assure the farmers that Anthesis—our label dedicated to the best vineyards—does their coveted grapes justice. His 2016 Anthesis earned 90 points from Wine Enthusiast, outscoring many of Oregon’s biggest names. Richard believes this new Pinot is even better.
  • 2016 Airfield Estates Cabernet Sauvignon: If you’ve yet to meet the Millers, they’re one of Washington state’s pioneering wine families—and they’ve been at it for nearly 50 years. Previously, their property served in World War II as an Army Air Corps training base (today, the winery operates from two old hangars). The grapes for this wine come from some of Airfield’s prime vineyards, all close to the winery facility. This ensured a short trip from vine to crusher, for as concentrated and fruity a wine as possible.
  • 2017 Anne Amie Muller Thurgau: As they say at the Anne Amie winery, “It’s Müller time, baby!” Müller-Thurgau, genetically similar to Riesling, is mostly found in Germany, Austria and northern Italy, and often used to make sweet wines. Zesty Cuvée A, however, is an American original. Anne Amie’s Müller-Thurgau vines were planted in 1979, in the heart of Oregon’s Pinot Noir country—and 40 years on, this might be Oregon’s most versatile wine. It tastes as great with fresh seafood as it does with bold, spicy fare.
