Last chance: Best of 2019 Wine Bundle

  • Price $105.00

We have sold out of the 2014 Arco di Traiano Falanghina depicted here. We will be replacing it with the 2016 Bellbird White Blend.

Each year we find ourselves with a limited number of bottles remaining of some of our most sought-after selections. This is the final opportunity to get to savor these wines if you previously enjoyed them! This bundle includes two bottles each of six perfectly aged selections, like the fresh and zesty 2014 Dupuis Ludovic Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley and the full-bodied 2014 Gash Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, a classical example of California Cabernet framed by toasty oak. Another highlight: an imported red with heavy personality, the 2015 Bodegas VQ Grenache from the La Mancha region of Spain. A Petit Verdot, White Blend, and Malavasia Bianca offer additional diversity to this 12-bottle bundle.

We apologize, but at this time we cannot guarantee arrival of your shipment by Christmas Eve.

Collection includes 12 x 500 mL bottles (2/3 of a standard-size wine bottle) featuring the following wines:
  • 2015 Maggio Calogero Petit Verdot: Sicily’s bucolic Belice Valley is adorned with a massive, star-shaped structure called Porta del Belice, built by sculptor Pietro Consagra. A few miles away is Maggio Calogero, an artist at capturing flavor from the finicky, slow-to-ripen Petit Verdot grape. Maggio started working his family’s vines at age 10. His Petit Verdot is big and rich, bursting with fruit flavor and boasting Petit Verdot’s signature floral aromas, indicating a perfectly timed harvest.
  • 2015 Bodegas VQ Grenache: This Grenache is made in the classic Spanish style, with bright fruit flavors and a subtle floral note that gives the wine an extra dimension—and more food-pairing possibilities. Winemaker José Fernando Pérez Salamanca produces this wine in La Mancha, the largest wine region in Europe known for the hot daytime temperatures able to perfectly ripen its grapes.
  • 2014 Gash Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon: John and Lisa Gash's Cabernet grapes develops a full-bodied, rich wine with concentrated fruit flavors—and with minimal environmental impact. An eco-conscious drip system waters the vines, and native cover crops in the rows build up the soil nutrients. The oak aging lends a smoky, toasty note, making this a classic-style California Cab.
  • 2016 Bellbird White Blend: When a friend with a small vineyard gave winemaker Blair Guthrie a taste of French Colombard, a grape normally distilled for Cognac, he knew he could use it to make a zesty, perfectly balanced wine that’s great with food. After blending in his beloved Chardonnay to lend weight and Gewürztraminer for aromas, Blair created an unquestionably unique wine. Bellbird’s fruitiness and bright zestiness are linked by intense peach and lychee aromas. The wine commands your senses delightfully, then lets go, leaving your palate refreshed.
  • 2015 Clayhouse Malvasia: Clayhouse Malvasia Bianca is a California twist on an everyday Italian white. Under the Paso Robles sun, this wine developed more fruit flavor, more floral aromas and more everything. Paso Robles is known for its 100-degree days and 40- to 50-degree nights—conditions that winemakers love, since they result in big fruit flavors and palate-cleansing brightness.
  • 2014 Dupuis Ludovic Sauvignon Blanc: Dupuis Ludovic Sauvignon Blanc is classic in style—full of the fresh, zesty aromas and flavors that are synonymous with a Loire Sauvignon Blanc. The Loire Valley, called the Garden of France, is the perfect wine region because the Loire River provides a moderating, cooling effect on what would otherwise be a warm region. This gives it an ideal climate for vines—especially Sauvignon Blanc.
