The Story Behind Togiharu for Blue Apron

Chef_Knife

Blue Apron Co-Founder and Chef Matthew Wadiak is a long-time fan of Korin, a tiny storefront in Manhattan that’s home to the most extensive collection of Japanese chef’s knives in the world (including Japan). In addition to the array of imported knives, Korin produces its own collection, Togiharu, named for the master Japanese craftsman who mentored Korin’s founder. The line is handmade in Japan using traditional techniques perfected over centuries. Our culinary team worked closely with the makers of Togiharu to create knives for the home cook with the same elegance and performance of those found in the hands of professional chefs. The final creation is a pleasure to use and designed to be a part of your kitchen arsenal for decades.
