Ideal for any steak lover (and anyone who loves a good cabernet sauvignon), this three-bottle bundle includes three of our favorite cabs for comparing tasting notes as well as pairing with hearty steak dinners. While two of the wines hail from California’s central coast, one is a New World-style cab sauv crafted by a Washington winery operating out of two former Army Air Corps airplane hangars.

Each of these full-bodied wines brings robust, spicy flavors to the table, perfect for enjoying with the decadent taste of steak and red meat. The 2016 Airfield Estates Cabernet Sauv balances plush fruit flavors with spice and savory notes, offering acidic tanginess. The 2016 Le P'tit Paysan Cabernet Sauvignon is a lively style that leads with notes of pepper and oregano, while the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon from the same winery is a true expression of this varietal, an Old World-style cab with notes of black currant and dried herbs.

Collection includes 3 x 500 mL bottles (2/3 of a standard-size wine bottle) featuring the following wines:
  • 2016 Airfield Estates Cabernet Sauvignon: If you’ve yet to meet the Millers, they’re one of Washington state’s pioneering wine families—and they’ve been at it for nearly 50 years. Previously, their property served in World War II as an Army Air Corps training base (today, the winery operates from two old hangars). The grapes for this wine come from some of Airfield’s prime vineyards, all close to the winery facility. This ensured a short trip from vine to crusher, for as concentrated and fruity a wine as possible.
  • 2017 Le P'tit Paysan Cabernet Sauvignon: Wine maverick Ian Brand has crafted more Blue Apron wines than anyone else, for the simple reason that we can always expect a pleasant surprise—like a punk band releasing an acoustic tune. His 2016 Cabernet was a rustic, old-school delight. So in 2017, he sought to make a Cab that’s a little more modern, akin to the classic California Cabernets that balance intense fruit flavors with spicy, savory notes. One sip will leave you saying, “Rock on, Ian.”
  • 2016 Le P'tit Paysan "2.0" Cabernet Sauvignon: Wine maverick Ian Brand is a house favorite, this being his fifth Blue Apron collaboration. He’s made a career of going his own way, making incredible wines from grapes grown in unconventional locales. True to form, Ian crafted this Cabernet from two regions almost no one associates with the variety. The result is a red that’s a little bit Old World, a little bit Disco Era and altogether classic. That’s why you can enjoy this wine now, or in a few years—and then fall in love with it.
