This white wine collection features 6 bottles of some of our springtime favorites ranging from light and fruity to crisp and clean. We selected these 6 wines as they each represent a unique flavor profile indicative of both the terroir and the winemaking process. Both the 17 Leaf and Vine and the 17 Chanin Gruner Veltliner selectively utilize oak barrels creating a uniqueness not found in typical bottles of the same varietal. Take a sip and let us know if you notice the technique!

Collection includes 6 x 500 mL bottles (2/3 of a standard-size wine bottle) featuring the following wines:
  • 2016 Blue Quail Sauvignon Blanc: Blue Quail Sauvignon Blanc is the best of both worlds. It has the fruitiness you find in wines from New Zealand, but also the minerality of Sauvignon Blancs from Sancerre, France. Mendocino County, north of Sonoma County, is known for its beautiful and often inaccessible vineyards tucked among vast, densely forested terrain. Potter Valley, with only 1,000 acres of vines, is one of the highest-elevation spots in the county.
  • 2016 Le P'tit Paysan Riesling: Le P’tit Paysan Riesling resembles a quintessential classic, crisp German style coupled with stone-fruit flavors that developed in the California sunshine. Crafted by award winning winemaker Ian Brand, you can be assured that each grape bunch will be perfectly ripe and packed with flavor.
  • 2016 Vigneron de Terres Secrets Chardonnay: In Burgundy the grape growers get all the glory, not the winemakers. Each vineyard, small or large, has a centuries-long track record of achieving a certain level of quality and flavor profile. Winemaker Georges Brichon’s job is to respect this above all else, and ensure that the hard work of Terres Secrètes’ 300 growers speaks for itself—in the glass. Terres Secrètes Mâcon-Villages is exactly what you want from a white Burgundy: crisp and clean, with fruit flavors that pop. This is the antithesis of California Chardonnays’ vanilla-veiled, fruit-salad-style, oaky wine.
  • 2017 DeSante L'Atelier: DeSante “L’Atelier” White Field Blend is an aromatic powerhouse, with character practically leaping from the glass. While most Napa wines are big and bold, this one is delicate—part savory, part fruity and an all around crowd-pleaser. This wine is greater than the sum of its parts: Sauvignon and Pinot Blanc lend brightness, Sémillon adds a silky feeling, and Chardonnay brings the body, or weightiness.
  • 2017 Chanin Gruner Veltliner: Chanin Grüner Veltliner is a fresher, fruitier version of the classic Austrian take on the grape. Also, half the grape juice was fermented in oak barrels to give the final wine a richer, fuller texture. These vibrant wines often taste of passion fruit or citrus, sometimes accented with an herbaceous note.
  • 2017 Leaf and Vine White Blend: Leaf and Vine White is its own animal—an Iberian chameleon in the California sun, if you will. Verdelho and Albariño keep it bright and citrusy; barrel-aged Grenache Blanc adds texture and complexity. Whatever the menu, it fits right in. One-third of this blend was aged in oak barrels, giving the fruit flavors a plush feel and a richness that winemakers don’t get from using steel tanks.
