Strawberries and Herbs We're growing 4 strawberry plants. They've been producing some, but we haven't had too many strawberries. We had a slug problem, hence the copper tape around the strawberry plants. Slugs apparently can't abide copper, so they've been staying away from our plants. You can see a cup of beer at the bottom of the image, which attracts slugs. They slide on down to take a drink, get drunk, then drown at the bottom. It seems a bit cruel, but we figured we'd prefer death by intoxication over death by wasps or bees. We've also got some basil plants, an oregano plant, and a marjoram plant.
