Leek, Sea Holly, and Green Sage Seedlings The 11 black starter pots contain leeks. We're growing them to replace our poor crop of leeks that we currently have on the left side of our garden. You can see about 20 green sprouts sticking straight up. The four green or white starter pots to the right of the leeks contain sea holly, which is a beatiful blue thistle flower. These can take 3-4 months to germinate, so we're waiting...paitently. The 5 black starter pots to the right of the sea holly contains green sage, which we'll probably grow along the front of the house to line the entrace way along with some sunflowers on the other side.
